DJ Graffiti and Martin Smith are one in the same. A multifaceted individual, perfectly comfortable being called by his stage name or government name, Martin is equally well suited in a nightclub or corporate boardroom.

Since he began DJing professionally in 1997, DJ Graffiti the Mitten Mixtape Mangler, has become an icon of Michigan’s music community by heating up concert audiences, rocking parties and creating mixtapes with an uncompromising level of quality. “My goal is to create projects that sound better, look more professional and reach farther than those currently available”, he explains. “It’s not about competition, but I know that if my focus is always on bringing something improved to the table, I won’t be taking steps backwards.”

Aside from being a prolific nightclub and mixtape DJ, Graffiti occasionally spins live shows for Detroit emcee Phat Kat. In addition to DJing in the US and abroad, Martin is also an experienced producer, manager of French producer Astronote, an occasional emcee, journalist and an alumnus of both the University of Michigan Business and Law Schools.

Martin’s passion for developing innovative marketing techniques lends itself to every aspect of his career. His ability to effectively reach the Youth market is the glue that cohesively binds the music and business aspects of his ventures. Martin’s marketing conglomerate Rapture Enterprises LLC has operated full time since 2001, helping small, medium and Fortune 500 businesses reach the youth market. In 2007, Martin and his partners founded A-Side Worldwide, a Marketing, Management and Design firm. With Martin aka DJ Graffiti as VP of Marketing, A-Side has championed a New Model that seamlessly fuses music and business.
